FSWRN-konferenssi tuo yhteen tutkijoita, aktivisteja, taiteilijoita ja seksityöntekijöitä. Purkaaksemme tiedontuotannon hierarkioita ja tehdäksemme tilaa seksityöntekijöiden eletyille kokemuksille, kutsumme yhteisön jäseniä ideoimaan ja toteuttamaan ohjelmaa kysymyksistä, joita seksityöntekijät haluavat nostaa tutkimukseen ja jaettuun keskusteluun.
Ohjelma voi olla esittävää ja/tai osallistavaa ja sen tulee liittyä konferenssin aiheeseen. Konferenssin teema on “Governing and Navigating Everyday Life: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Sex Work and Commercial Sex”. Lue lisää konferenssin aiheesta

Ehdotuksen ei tarvitse olla valmis suunnitelma, vaan se voi olla idea, jota konferenssin järjestäjät tarvittaessa auttavat kehittämään tapahtumaan sopivaksi.
Olemme yhteydessä ehdotuksen lähettäjiin elokuun alkupuolella.
Yliopisto tarjoaa luentosalitilan ohjelmaa varten. Ohjelman maksimikesto on 1,5 tuntia. Järjestäjät kattavat kotimaiset matkakulut, pienen palkkion sekä mahdolliset kohtuulliset materiaalikulut. Tapahtuma on englanninkielinen. Tarvittaessa voimme tarjota tulkkausapua resurssien puitteissa.
Voit osallistua tapahtumaan omalla nimelläsi tai taiteilijanimellä. Tapahtumassa kunnioitetaan jokaisen yksityisyyttä eikä sallita minkäänlaista syrjintää. Osallistujista otetaan valokuvia vain luvanvaraisesti. Lähtökohtaisesti tapahtuman osallistujat tuntevat seksityöhön liittyvät sensitiiviset kysymykset. Tapahtumaan saavat osallistua vain rekisteröityneet osallistujat. Kulukorvauksia ja palkkion maksua varten vaaditaan laskutus- tai henkilötietojen täyttämistä yliopiston sisäiseen järjestelmään.

The FSWRN-conference brings together researchers, activists, artists and sex workers. In order to dismantle hierarchies of knowledge production and make room for the lived experiences of sex workers, we invite members of the community to create and present on questions that sex workers want to raise into research agendas and shared discussion.
The contributions to the programme can take shape in the form of presentations (such as performances or lectures) and/or different types of participatory formats (such as workshops) and they should be connected to the theme of the conference. The proposal does not have to be a fully formed and finalized plan but can instead rely more on the idea. The organisers of the conference can help with developing the idea further if necessary.
We will contact the submitters of the proposal in early August.
The university offers a lecture hall for the programme. The maximum duration of the programme is 1h 30 min. The organisers cover domestic travel costs, a small renumeration, and modest material costs (if applicable). The event is held in English. We can offer interpretation support to a limited degree.
You can participate in the event with your legal or artist name. The privacy of all participants will be respected and upheld during the event and discriminatory action will not be tolerated. Photographs of participants will only be taken if consented to. The participants of the event are well acquainted with the sensitive questions related to sex work. Participation in the event is limited to registered participants. The payments related to expenses and renumeration require the submission of billing and personal details to the internal information system of the university.
