Alumni Travels

The members of the Alumni Association participate in a cruise to the Seychelles on 4.-13.1.2019 on the cruise ship M/S Pegasus. The whole ship is reserved exclusively for 44 alumni. Experts on local environmental matters will join us on the islands during the cruise.

The best way to explore the Seychelles is to visit all the different small paradise islands. We begin with the lively island of Mahe, and continue directly from there to the smaller islands where we visit different various wildlife preserves, untouched beaches and small local communities. The Seychelles offer a fantastic range of flora and fauna, which we will see during walks through hundred-year-old rain forests, and newly constructed wildlife preserves. We will also see the famous Coco de Mer palm trees as well as gigantic land turtles. If we are lucky, we might also stumble upon other unique wild animals like the black parrot and other endemic species.

The Alumni Association arranges a long desired traveling program to the land of the rising sun on 24.3-2.4.2019. The journey starts in Kyoto, which used to be an imperial capital. Today it is a treasure-chest filled with tourist attractions. The program includes a visit to Hiroshima and the hot springs of Hakone. We end our journey with a visit to the clean, vibrant metropole of Tokyo, an unbelievable mix of tradition, culture and ultra-modern high-end technology.

The traveling program is set to take place during the hanami, (transl. flower viewing) when no-one in Japan leaves the house without a camera to capture and enjoy the awakening of spring together with friends and family.
