Studies in the Master’s Programme in Mathematics and Statistics will lead you into the fascinating world of modern science, giving you a solid basis for mathematics and statistics applications. Graduates from this programme find employment as researchers, teachers, and in demanding expert positions in the public and private sector in Finland and abroad. The programme is based on top research and consists of mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics. It is part of two Centres of Excellence: Inverse Problems Research and Analysis and Dynamics Research.

The study tracks within this programme are Mathematics, Applied mathematics, and Statistics. Mathematics branches into four specialisation subjects: Analysis, Mathematical logic, Geometry, algebra and topology, and Mathematical physics and probability.
