The service is intended only for persons who have been conditionally admitted to the University of Helsinki and who are unable to deliver officially certified copies of documents demonstrating their eligibility for studies by post or directly to the Admission Services’ post box.
The service is intended for the presentation of original documents to Admission Services.
The service is available in the Metsätalo building at Unioninkatu 40 C.
After making an appointment, you will receive an email confirmation reviewing the details you have submitted. The message also contains a link for cancelling your appointment. Please do so if you are unable to make it.
NB! Make sure your appointment is before the deadline applicable to you.
Your documents will be picked up from the entrance. Please arrive no later than five minutes before the beginning of your appointment. If you are late, you will have to book another appointment.
Due to the coronavirus situation, we employ special arrangements in the service for demonstrating eligibility. To prevent congestion and ensure safe social distances, the number of appointments is limited.
Please do not arrive when ill.
If you are unable to personally present your documents, it is permissible to have someone deliver them on your behalf. Please remember to take this into account when filling the booking form, as specific details are required on the identity of the person presenting the documents on your behalf.
The service is intended for the presentation of original documents. You must bring with you all of the documents demonstrating your eligibility which you have been required to present. The documents must be original. Please ensure that your documents include all of the pages that are officially part of them. Officially certified copies are not reviewed at the service. They must be posted to Admission Services or delivered in person directly to the Admission Services’ post box.
Please note that you may have to meet certain country-specific requirements. Country-specific requirements take precedence, and they may restrict what you can present at the service.
You must also bring with you a photographic proof of identity (driving licence, passport, identity card issued by the police). Please be prepared to prove your identity several times.
An Admission Services employee calls those who have made an appointment by name one at a time and accepts the documents demonstrating eligibility. The documents will be verified on Admission Services premises, in connection with which copies will be taken of them. The original documents will then be handed back to you. A separate email on the results of the demonstration of eligibility will be sent to you after the service has ended.
