University of Helsinki 375 years

Join us to celebrate the University’s 375th year!

Much has already happened – and much is yet to come! October will see the beginning of the Studia Universitaria lecture series discussing the history of our University, organised in both Helsinki and Turku, while in November, the Change in the Air exhibition on the effects of climate change will open at the Finnish Museum of Natural History. The year will culminate in the final seminar of the anniversary year, including the Helsinki Challenge final in the University's Great Hall. You can find all coming events in our event calendar using the search term “375th anniversary year”. The autumn’s events have also been compiled on Facebook. You can follow the anniversary year on Facebook HY375, Twitter #helsinkiuni375, and Instagram helsinkiuni375.Relevant social media posts are also easily available on the ThinkWall.

This year’s five science themes are health and wellbeing, a new world view, environmental change, global Helsinki and future learning. The themes will turn the spotlight on the University’s competence and world-class research. Read more about the themes in the Think Corner schedule of events >>
