Trikes in the 50 m race

The 50 m sprint was great fun. The location was good with lots of people stopping to see what was going on. The yellow trike in the middle is Ymte Sybrandys Carbon Alleweder.

A Jouta with a Leitra in the background

Here you see nicely the two different extremes of styling on recumbents. The black trike is of Jouta type and the golden one in the background is a Leitra.

Peter Groenenveld ready for start

Peter Groenenveld before the start of the 4000 m race. He did very well and won three WCs in Cologne.

Nilgo II after the crash in the 1 h race

Laurent Chapuis is trying to recover from his second crash in two days from a speed of 60 km/h. Fortunately, he was well protected by the fairing of the Nilgo II made out of carbon fibre, kevlar and epoxy.

Gerd Figge from Germany is waiting for a permission to start in the 200 m race.

Sergej Dachevskis trike

Sergej Dachevski from Russia won the World Championship of the 6 hour race in 1995 in Lelystad with this trike. He took the trike to Cologne, but he did not race on it tough.
