Three very poor pictures of a Greater Sand Plover (Charadrius leschenaultii) in Vihaspauha, Kalajoki, West Coast of Finland, on 24th June 2001. It was spotted by Seppo Pudas at 2 a.m., and it stayed there until 1.20 p.m. Some tens of twitchers managed to see it.

These pictures were taken by Jörgen Palmgren with a Nikon Coolpix 990 through a Swarowski scope, from a distance of about 100m in an intense heat haze.
