Pastorale industriale
(excerpt from the end) A lot of nice blips layered in sweet pumping sounds.
This may seem more bombastic than most of my compositions...
All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost. /
The old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by frost.
Chinese voices in a tribal rhythm setting.
(I'll be surprised if any one could translate the spoken part,
since it is treated and cut in many ways.)
This is intended to be only an impression, a landscape of memories
long gone.
I like the quirky forward going layers in this tune. There are parts
in it that perhaps needs to be restrained, so I still have to work on it.
This is a piece experimenting with connecting traditional instrument
sounds (string ensemble) with fluttering electronic sounds. I hope this
will reveal a more abstract musical vocalbulary.
In this dreamy landscape tune I feel a whispering from Toru Takemitsu,
one of my favourite composers. It may sound melodic, but my aim is to let
the disparate elements meet each other as sounds rather than melodies.
In this piece I have used plenty of granular synthesis applied to
voice clips and some bell sounds.
This is a piece with a rhytmic backdrop with harmonies, a recurring
arpeggiated lead solo, and voice clips.
Here is an example of music made with the VAZ modular software synth,
including the sequences. Only some rhytmic ambience samples added.
This is a mellow track centered around a pulsating, rhythmical sound
that moves in dialogue with whirling organ sounds. The style is something of
a tribute to the Berlin-school of Klaus Schulze or Wolfram Spyra.
This piece represents a somewhat more experimental approach with a
heavy rhythmical sound in conjunction with some eerie strings sounds.
The strings are rhythmical and rather dissonant, resembling the style
of Michael Nyman.
