(Huancayo, Perú 1973) musician and researcher. Has studied guitar performance at the National Conservatory of Music of Lima, and has received his Master of Arts from the University of Helsinki. He is currently working towards his doctoral degree at the Department of Musicology of the University of Helsinki.

Besides his musical activity as guitar soloist, he has performed with several Peruvian ensembles as the trio Zumbayllu, and the guitar quartet Temple Diablo. At present, he is performing with the String Trio Estela de Luna and the Grupo Ondú.

In the framework of a project of investigation and raising awareness about Andean Guitar, he has worked as an assistant in workshops conducted by Peruvian guitarists Raúl Garcia Zárate, and Manuelcha Prado Alarcón.

Furthermore, he has taught at the National Conservatory of Music, the National School of Folk Arts “José María Arguedas”, and the Catholic University of Lima. He is currently working as a guitar teacher at Espoon Steinerkoulu.
