150 anniversary of The Lake Onega petroglyhps' discovery
The workshop will assess
- what is the scope,
- what are the kinds, and
- what is the effectiveness of science
associated with petroglyphs in the Lake Onega and in the White Sea.
Further, it will ask:
- what should this science be?
- and how can it be improved?
- what is the role of science in this education?
- Petroglyphs as an extension of the academic classroom will also be covered.
- And finally the workshop will study the constraints to establish
Petropolis:The Center for Petroglyph Studies in Petrozavodsk, Russia.
The role of NG0s in
educational values of petroglyph watching will be examined.
