The Azores are one of the best places of the world for the marine mammals. More then 20 species of cetaceans are identified. This richness makes from this islands one authentic nature aquarium, situated in the middle of the Atlantic ocean between America and Europe. The Sperm Whales find here incomparable conditions: one sanctuary. Freed from the pressured of the whalers, taking benefits of the clean waters and abundant food, the Whales remain during every year near the islands.
