1998's 20 % score penalty made
me wanna improve my logging and give it another try. Tried to pay special
care in not logging any uncertain qsos, gave my callsign more often in
S&P, etc. Let's see how it turns out this year. I estimate less N's
in UBN. Saying this I also must say that this log has not been mangled
during or after the contest with any MASTER.DTA or eq. All CS's & zone
n:o's copied "live". That's
how I see UA.
Condx vy good and my strategy worked fine. Got good night sleep before the start so had no problems in staying awake for full 48 hours. Only last 2 hours were difficult but nothing compared to 1998.
This project started allready in April when new antennas were put up at OH5LF. Now I know what it means when they say that you are into something "big time".
Thanks to: N6TR (you have made great software!), OH5KS (2nd radio), OH1JT (TRlog & 2-radio info), OH5NQ (portable PC), my boss (3 days away from the saltmine) and Kari, OH5LF for tolerating another "WZ-chaos".
