Steven Fishman's court exhibits

An ex-Scientologist called Steven Fishman committed several crimes while being involved with Scientology. He defended himself in court by arguing that Scientology had seriously affected his thinking. To prove this, he presented some secret creeds of the "Church" of Scientology as evidence. The court documents are public, and the contents of the so-called OT levels can be obtained from the courthouse. Their electronic versions were also posted to the Usenet, but cancel messages were quickly forged to suppress the information. However, the documents are available on several FTP and WWW sites. For instance, they caused great uproar in Holland, and now there are more than a hundred Dutch sites featuring a copy of the Fishman papers.
