screenshots... ...dELTA

These screenshots are 4 times smaller than the original screensize in the demo.

These were the opening effects in our little demo for the Asm98. We had originally designed a full 12 minute lightwave sceneplaying extravaganza, but I quess we were a little short of time, or something...
Nevertheless we managed to get some rather nice looking effects to this demo. We coded some particle routines and improved our sceneplayer a lot... well, with features it was supposed to have a long time ago...
We made the textures for this demo with a Canon digital camera and amiga. We ran around at a local industry area, photographigs weird machines, walls and actually everything that we saw.
We wanted to do some 2d layered effects, distortions etc. initially ment for the "original" demo but then raped and quickly glued together for dELTA, we also revived our caster routine, as we wanted the people to see that we can do nice volumetric light with shadows with it too etc.
The final credits and last 3d scene with a water fountain shooting transparent bubbly particles all around.
btw. the name of the demo 'dELTA' was decided 5 minutes before the deadline of the compoentries as a crippled version of the demo was handed over. I coded with Sly at my place fiercly to finalize the demo for the compo, eventually the last version was given to the organizer half an hour before the beginning of the competition.
ps. It took just a 6 months to get these snapshots to www.
