The topping-out ceremony of ClinicumThe topping-out ceremony of the new University of Helsinki Veterinary Hospital was celebrated in November. The building will be finished this spring and the Small Animal Hospital and Equine Hospital will start their operations in the new building in May. The Veterinary Hospital serves the Helsinki region in all small animal or horse medical cases and the whole of Finland as a place of treatment for referred patients. The design of the new hospital building takes into account the needs of the future inmates. Particular attention has been paid to the adaptability of the premises. The new hospital secures the concentration of teaching and research of Veterinary Medicine in Viikki. In addition to the Veterinary Hospital, the new building will accommodate the Department of Clinical Veterinary Sciences, the veterinary pharmaceutical wholesale market and the premises of YA-Prevett Ltd. |
