The Department of Forest and Wood Science, Faculty of AgriScience, University of Stellenbosch, is organising together with the partner universities of the Global Industrial Forestry Network (GIFN) an intensive forestry course on Tropical and Plantation Forestry Systems. CALL IS ON FOR STUDENT APPLICATIONS DEADLINE 5 JANUARY 2011, 16:00

This international intensive field course is the third one organised by the GIFN. The GIFN field courses aim at facilitating forestry students to learn through a multidisciplinary approach all issues concerning sustainable forest management and plantation forestry. Thus course organisers encourage students of all forestry expertise to join this intensive programme. Students who participate in this intensive course will have the opportunity to link own forestry expertise to sustainable forest management and plantation forestry. Besides, the course offers an outstanding opportunity to disseminate information of own academic work as well as to expand own network for future research and expertise activities.
