Records of the Salem Witch-Hunt

The Salem Witchcraft Papers project concentrates on the Salem documents, some of them only recently found. The other participants in the project come from the State University of New York ( Binghamton) and the universities of Virginia, Texas Tech, Uppsala and Turku. The main result of the project, the 1000-page volume Records of the Salem Witch-Hunt was published in January 2009. The texts provide valuable information on Colonial American English with a wide spectrum of types of writing, speech-based prose and social variability.
