Modelling Semantic Change

At present, researchers in the Modelling semantic change theme group focus on those fields of abstract vocabulary which involve human cognition most immediately: emotions, sensory perception (colours, taste, smell), and intellectual capacity (intellect, wit, mind). Cognitive semantics and
metaphorical and metonymic sense developments play an important role in this study.
