Early English Text and Corpus Studies (EETACS)

The EETACS project dates back to the spring of 1995. From 1995 to 2001, there have been several short (1-3 weeks) research and lecture trips from Helsinki to St Petersburg and vice versa. Three Russian post-graduate students have done research work at the unit and been supervised by senior members of our team.

In 2001, a post-conference symposium of the 10th conference of the International Society of Anglo-Saxonists was organized in St Petersburg. During the symposium, Russian medievalists presented reports on their research; moreover, there was a manuscript exhibition, mounted in the
National Library of Russia.
