Entry requirements

This international MSc programme is targeted at full-time students and the main admission requirement is a Bachelor’s level degree in an appropriate subject (e.g. ecology, hydrobiology or other related environmental sciences) from a university with an internationally recognised academic standing, or equivalent qualifications.

A maximum of 10 new students will be admitted to the programme in 2014.

The next round of application will be open between 2 December 2013 and 31 January 2014 (deadline: 16.00).

The tuition language of the programme is English

 

Selection criteria


Student selection will be based on their previous academic performance, the relevance of those studies to the programme, their motivation letter (answering a number of key questions), and the additional documents specified below. Relevant professional experience and a genuine interest in urban environmental issues and their management will also be considered. Students are eligible to apply if they have a Bachelor’s level degree in environmental sciences or other university level qualifications. The Bachelor’s degree should consist of at least 180 ECTS credits or at least three years of full-time study. Only applicants who have succeeded well in their previous studies can be considered.

All applicants need to submit a certification of their English language skills.

Students admitted to the Master's Degree Programme in Multidisciplinary Studies in Urban Environmental Issues might be required to supplement their knowledge in the field with one year of study at maximum (max. of 60 ECTS). Therefore, completing the MSc might take up to 3 years. Possible supplementary studies will be agreed upon for each student individually.
