The door to Africa is open

The destruction of a hectare of forest on Madagascar means a greater loss to natural diversity than the destruction of any other hectare in the world. The university of Helsinki is now co-sponsoring a new biological research station on Madagascar. Also the seminar React to Act created new relations with the scientific community in Southern Africa. Furthermore, two students of the University of Helsinki have recently published the first Swahili-Finnish-Swahili dictionary.
