The Master's Degree Programme in Advanced Financial Information Systems is an intensive two-year programme of academic studies that leads to the degree of Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration) from the Department of Accounting at HANKEN, the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Helsinki, Finland. It is intended to provide intensive training in developing, managing, and auditing next-generation financial information systems.
Computational Finance is a Master's Degree Programme organised by Hanken, the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Vaasa. The programme aims to provide a high quality Master of Science degree of a high international standard that will give the students the required knowledge in order to meet the quantitative computational challenges of the future.
The Master's Degree Programme in Corporate Governance is a programme designed to train corporate governance experts with the degree of Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration). A thorough understanding of corporate governance issues requires a knowledge base consisting of expertise in different areas of business economics, and a truly international and multicultural understanding of the problems involved. The Master's Degree Programme in Corporate Governance at Hanken is tailored to provide this knowledge base.
The programme is administered by the Department of Law at Hanken and implemented in close co-operation with the IPR University Center, which is the leading academic intellectual property law institution in Finland. The department's expertise lies in the core areas of business law. Intellectual property law has been recognised as one of Hanken's four core competence areas. The department conducts research of high international standard in all major fields of intellectual property law (patent, trademark, copyright). The courses are taught by our internationally renowned faculty members, in co-operation with professors from leading universities in the EU and the US and highly qualified practitioners.
The programme prepares participants for careers in international organisations, business organisations in particular. The focus of the programme in on business organisations with activities in a) the Nordic/Baltic region, and b) large emerging markets such as China, India, and Russia. The programme helps participants acquire the skills needed to function effectively in such organisations. It focuses on the identification and management of challenges stemming from a diversity of economic, social, geographic, institutional, cultural and linguistic contexts. Although the studies are management oriented, they also aim to develop the students' analytical and academic skills.
The aim of the programme is to offer a Master of Science degree of a high international standard that will give students the required competence to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex marketplace. In such a business environment, services, relationships and networks become the key competitiveness drivers to support customer value processes and companies own value formation.
Real Estate Investment and Finance is a two-year academic degree
programme offered jointly by the Hanken and the Helsinki University of Technology (TKK).
The programme strives to provide a higher academic degree (M.Sc.) of
international standards and quality that give the students the required knowledge
to work both in the property market field and in the field of financial
intermediation.
The Master’s Program in Strategic Entrepreneurship (Nordic Joint Study Program) focuses on the entrepreneur’s creativity and innovativeness in various business settings. It enhances the student’s ability to manage, renew, and strategically develop entrepreneurial activities in national and international contexts. Students are prepared for future careers as leaders, managers, and change agents in private, public, and not-for-profit organizations. This Master’s program develops the student’s theoretical and practical understanding of innovative change processes, including the identification, development, commercialization, growth, and expansion of business opportunities.
