HANKEN Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration

Hanken

Hanken, founded in 1909, is a leading, internationally accredited university in the field of economics and business administration. It has more international students than any other Finnish business university. Hanken's research operations are of an internationally high standard and it maintains close and intensive links with the business world. Hanken has received the EQUIS -accreditation, which guarantees that it meets the highest requirements for quality of research, education, internationalization and interaction with the corporate world. The studies at Hanken are international in many respects. In addition to a number of students enrolled in the English-language Master's programmes, Hanken co-operates with over 60 partner universities and business schools in approximately 30 countries. Each year, some 100 Hanken students spend one or two semesters abroad as exchange students, which gives them uniquely composed degrees and increased fluency in foreign languages. It is equally popular for exchange students to come to Hanken.

Some 2500 students are currently enrolled in Hanken's degree programmes; 200 of them are doctoral students. Teaching and research staff amounts to approximately 140. Apart from its scientific field of economics and business expertise, languages and cultural understanding are perhaps Hanken's best-known trademarks.
