Studying at the Faculty of Theology

International students can complete a Master of Theology degree or a postgraduate (Licentiate or doctoral) degree in the Faculty of Theology. The Faculty also offers excellent study opportunities for exchange students and visiting students. In addition, international students can complete studies in other University of Helsinki faculties under certain conditions.

Studies in English for exchange students

On the navigation bar left you find the list of lecture courses offered in English in the acandemic year 2013-2014. Below that you can find a list of study units, to which you can include lecture courses (which include also contact teaching) as well as gain more indepth insight into a certain topic by reading literature on them.

The Faculty of Theology is a large and vibrant academic community located on the Centre Campus right in the centre of Helsinki. It is home to some 1600 students of which around 300 are postgraduates.

All the theological disciplines are represented including church history, biblical studies, systematic theology, practical theology and the study of religions.
