Postgraduate studies

At the Department of Teacher Education, it is possible to pursue postgraduate studies in Education, Educational Psychology, Home Economics, Craft Science and Special Education. The postgraduate studies take place under the auspices of research groups and/research centres established at the department. Further information on postgraduate studies is available on research units' websites, which can be accessed through the "Research" channel.

Students wishing to pursue postgraduate studies should make an appointment with the professor representing the field of study on which they have planned to write their dissertation.

When drawing up the research plan, the prospective postgraduate students should acquaint themselves with the research conducted at the department and its research units. Moreover, they should find a supervisor or supervisors for their work and get their research and study plans approved by the supervising professor of the subject in question. Only application forms signed by these people can be delivered to the Science Secretary of the faculty, who will then present the postgraduate applications to the Faculty Council.
