Studies

LibraryThe objective of the basic and intermediate studies in study of religions is to provide students with extensive basic knowledge in study of religions. Basic studies focus on the basics and history of religious studies, global religious traditions, Finnish folk beliefs and the encounters of religions. Intermediate studies provide students with knowledge and competencies for research and the world of work.

In advanced studies, students will focus on a selected specialist area and build their own expertise in it.

Students can specialise in the specific questions related to multiculturalism in the Master’s Degree Programme in Intercultural Encounters. Students can also become subject teachers in religion by completing the pedagogical studies for subject teachers.
