Objectives: Co-ordination of the project. Expertise in basic laboratory techniques (in vivo microdialysis, in situ hybridization) that will be applied in animal studies. In human studies the development of a novel spectroscopy for lactate measurements in human brain.

  • Acute sleep deprivation, recovery sleep and performance in women of different ages.
  • Orexin after prolonged wakefulness and recovery sleep.
  • Effects of ageing and sleep deprivation on GABA secretion in female rats
