Profile Originally I come from Uzbekistan where i was born and had been living until 17 years old. After doing some studies in Moscow State University (Faculty of Biology) in 1995-1996 I moved to Finland and started my studies from very beginning in Population Biology in 1998. Since 2002 I have worked in MRG as Project Researcher and in the meanwhile (2007) completed my Master's thesis. Research My primary task in the MRG is maintaining the database part of M. cinxia survey and developing Database and GIS applications for the members of the group and, since recently, maintaining common database in EarthCape. Optimizing data related workflow in the group has highest priority for me at this point. The whole process starting from data collection in the field, processing in the lab, and aggregating in a single database and serving the data for the needs of the group is undergoing revision and being slowly streamlined and made more efficient. Public data access to the parts of group's database is something I am actively investigating and implementing. Misc My other activities/interests include development of EarthCape platform, older project Taxis, photography (delphius.net), sports, travel. |
