In Situ Hybridisation Unit
|
A fully automated ISH Unit located in the Developmental Biology laboratory (C215b2) of the Institute of Biomedicine. The Unit has three ISH automates, Ventana Discovery for section ISH and two Intavis InSituPro-automates for whole mount ISH. Ventana Discovery automate runs 20 slides in less than 24 hours and each slide can be differentially treated during the hybridisation procedure. Intavis whole mount InSituPro automate has 30 columns, in which each sample can be hybridised with a different probe. For one run, five different proteinase K treatment-times can be used. One whole mount hybridisation procedure takes approximately 48 hours. Intavis whole mount InSituPro VS automate can run up to 96 columns (with different probes) at the same time and 24 different proteinase K treatment-times can be used. One run with this machine takes approximately 72 hours.
If you are interested in our hybridisation unit, you should contact Prof. Hannu Sariola: Hannu.Sariola(at)Helsinki.fi, tel. 09-191 25140. Probes available in the in situ hybridisation unit
