22.10 Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher
to join our Developmental Psychology Research Group Our research is aimed at understanding human development in a multidisciplinary context. Major ongoing projects and research collaboration include the Helsinki Birth Cohort Study, the Helsinki Study of Very Low Birth Weight Adults, the GLAKU-project (development from infancy to school-age in family context), the PREDO-project (Prenatal stress, maternal pre-eclampsia, and fetal programming of child’s psychological development), and the Arvo Ylppö Longitudinal study. These projects allow examination of human development at different age stages and domains, such as behavioral and sleep problems, temperament, emotional development, and cognitive abilities in children, and psychological and psychiatric outcomes in young adults and in late adulthood. In addition, the group is active in developing new measurement techniques in children. The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting research in the projects described above. The successful candidate should hold a doctoral degree. The salary for the present post will be based on level 5 of the demands level chart for teaching and research personnel in the new salary system of Finnish universities. In addition, the appointee will be paid a salary component based on personal work performance.
