The RTC research team works in Research Laboratories of Cardiac Tissue and Organ Regeneration at Rostock University and in the labs of the Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Therapy (IRMED e.V.) which are both located at the Biomedical Research Centre Rostock (BMFZ).

Leica TCS SPE

We have the Leica TCS SPE confocal, which is a true point-scanning, spectral system providing all of the features needed for routine confocal techniques. It offers excellent quality imaging.

BD LSR II four-laser, 18-color benchtop flow cytometer

The BD LSR II can be configured with up to four fixed alignment lasers and the ability to detect up to 18 colors, utilizing a revolutionary optical design. At the heart of the BD LSR II are new digital electronics. The electronics digitize signals 10 million times per second in 16,384 discrete levels. This expands channel offers higher resolution and increases detection sensitivity.
