Organization

At present, discussions about the organisation and operation of Concepta are continuing among the following institutions: Aarhus University; the University of Amsterdam; the Centre for Nordic Studies at the Renvall Institute, University of Helsinki; the Swedish Collegium of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Uppsala; and the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Political Thought and Conceptual Change, University of Jyväskylä. Concepta has an advisory board appointed in consultation with the History of Political and Social Concepts Group. Scholarly activities at both the MA and PhD levels are supervised by respective steering committees. Each course has its own steering committee, consisting of established experts in the field, representing Nordic as well as international scholars. These committees are responsible for planning the programme of the courses; they also serve as the core of the teaching staff. Concepta works in close collaboration with the annual conferences of the History of Political and Social Concepts Group.
