Research

Political Science at the University of Helsinki is the largest academic unit conducting research in political science in Finland. Its research fields cover politics, international relations, administration, organisations, and leadership and management. The incorporation of these fields into a single department has led to the creation of a unique academic identity, which is reflected in both research and instruction. The multidisciplinary structure of the discipline provides a good basis for using research to meet new challenges posed by global changes in the inter-relationships between politics and administration, the national and the international, and the public and the private.
