Degree studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy

The degrees offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy are:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (farmaseutti) and
  • Master of Science in Pharmacy (proviisori).

The Bachelor’s degree consists of 180 credits and completing the degree takes three years. The Master’s degree consists of 300 credits and completing the degree takes 5 years (Bachelor’s degree + two years).

The postgraduate degrees are:

  • Licentiate of Philosophy and
  • Doctor of Philosophy.

The language of tuition in Pharmacy is mainly Finnish. Only a few courses annually are organized in English. Therefore it is recommended that the international applicants have some knowledge of Finnish already when they apply.

Exchange studies a the Faculty of Pharmacy

The exchange students as well as visiting students are usually placed in laboratories and research groups for practical laboratory work or final project research work.
