Hanken and UH investigate the internationalisation of research and education

Hanken and the University of Helsinki have appointed a working party to investigate the internationalisation of research and education

Hanken and UH co-operation yhteinen työryhmä The rectors of the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration (Hanken) and the University of Helsinki have appointed a working party with the task to investigate possible co-operation forms between the two universities. The investigation will cover research and education as well as structural development. The appointment continues the discussions on co-operation that have taken place between Hanken and the University of Helsinki, with the aim of strengthening the universities’ internationalisation and international competitiveness.
On Hanken’s behalf the working party consists of rector Marianne Stenius as well as professors Rune Stenbacka and Tore Strandvik. The University of Helsinki is represented by vice-rector Thomas Wilhelmsson as well as deans Jukka Kola and Hannu Niemi. Hanken’s Head of Administration Mauno Lindroos works as the group’s secretary.

The working party will present its conclusions in the middle of November 2007.
