Guided walking tours at the University
The hugely popular art historical walking tours around the University campuses will be organised again this summer.
The first English-language tour will take place on 2 August, starting at 4 pm in front of the University Main Building (Unioninkatu 34) on the Senate Square side. The tours are free of charge and introduce the varied architecture and rich cultural history of the University’s new and old buildings. The tour of the city centre campuses visits the Main Building, Aleksandria Learning Centre, Topelia, Metsätalo and the University Library, for example, depending on the time available and participants’ wishes. The guides are students of art history.
English-language tours will be organised on Mondays 2 and 30 August and on Thursday 23 August. For more information on the art-historical walking tours, see the web pages of the Department of Art History. Tour can also be booked for private groups.
