Department of Chemistry receives Eurobachelor label
The first Chemistry Eurobachelor label has been granted to the University of Helsinki.
The label was offered by European Chemistry Thematic Network Association (ECTNA), a network of 120 European universities. The Eurobachelor framework defines the chemistry and other course content of the three-year Bachelor of Science degree required by the Bologna process in order to meet the European quality criteria for higher education. Once the criteria are met, the title Eurobachelor can be granted. In the University of Helsinki, Bachelor degrees can receive the Eurobachelor status from the beginning of August.
The Eurobachelor Label is intended to promote international comparability and recognition of the degrees, which will enhance student mobility and their access to the European labour market.
Eurobachelor labels are expected to be granted to several European universities this year.
More information on the Eurobachelor label on the ECTN website.
