I INTRODUCTION
European Studies workshop (MES320, 6 ECTS)
The European Studies workshop introduces the students to their studies in the multidisciplinary MES programme. Students also make their personal study plans with the programme coordinator in the beginning of their studies.
More detailed information on the content and requirements will be delivered to the students during the orientation and at the start of the lectures and workshop.

Academic Writing
This course is highly recommended to all first-year MES students.
Other language studies or some other optional courses. The University of Helsinki provides excellent possibilities for studying languages and it is highly recommended that the student takes courses in foreign languages. The Language Center gives courses in a wide variety of languages.
These studies include 1-3 ECTS of vocational orientation studies provided that they are not integrated into any other course. Practical training can also be included here.
