PhD degree requirements

Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences
A postgraduate student may request the degree diploma - it is not issued automatically - after all the degree requirements have been met and the doctoral thesis has been approved by the faculty council. You can find more information on graduation here.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree requirements:

Below are the requirements for Ecology and Evolutionary Biology major translated in English by LUOVA coordinator. Please refer to the guidebook for the requirements in your major.

Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry
In the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry a minumum of 60 ECTs of postgraduate studies and a doctoral disseration are required for a doctoral degree. Postgraduate studies should include a minimum of 15 ECTs of general and a minumum of 45 ECTs of field-specific studies. The student does not automatically receive a diploma; it will be issued upon a written application.
