| Aim | The main focus is in the web information resources of the following subject areas: pharmacy, veterinary medicine, forestry, agriculture, biosciences, and environmental sciences. You will learn to find books and articles about a specific subject, e.g. for writing an essay; you will be able to define suitable search terms, perform a search in a database and evaluate the retrieved data. |

Advanced Information Retrieval, 2 hours
The course is for those who already have basic information retrieval skills. The content of the course depends on the specific information needs of the participants. The following topics will be covered
- advanced retrieval techniques in reference databases, such as Web of Science, CAB Abstracts, Medline
- alert services
The main focus is in the information resources of the following subject areas: pharmacy, veterinary medicine, forestry, agriculture, biosciences, and environmental sciences.
