Services
The Library serves anyone who needs information in dentistry and in its disciplines but also health care, optometry, radiography and radiometry. It provides services to the staff and students of the Institute of Dentistry and Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences .
The Library has over 30 000 books and it receives 150 current periodicals. Monographs in the open access section are arranged to the NLM Classification. Some of the library materials are located in the cellar. You may request these via electronic form. The catalogue information of books and journals is available on the Helka-database.
In order to borrow material from the library you must have a Helka card, which you get from our service desk. This card is valid in all the Helsinki University libraries. At the lending office there is a self-service copier for customer use. Copy cards may be purchased at the library.
Interlibrary loans. The Library provides information material from its own collections and from other libraries to its customers. Please, fill in the electronic request form. The document delivery services are charged according to Helsinki University Library’s service fees

The essential dentistry databases, e-journals, e-books and other e-resources are available via the personalized web service MyTerkko.
