Library Services
The Helsinki University Library provides information services on four different campuses and online.
Kumpula Campus Library contains collections in the fields of physics, geologic and atmospheric sciences, chemistry, geography, mathematics and statistics, computer science and astronomy.
You will get a library card form library’s information desk where you can also get basic instruction in information retrieval. When you have a library card you can borrow textbooks and other materials. You may also use materials on the library premises.
The local collections of the Campus Libraries are catalogued in the HELKA database. The NELLI portal offers one user interface with most of the e-material available at UH.
The work areas offered by the Library are intended for research, studying and teaching purposes. The information specialists provide individual instruction in information retrieval. They also do information retrieval on assignment.
Some services are subject to a fee according to the library service price list.
