City Centre Campus Library serves the researchers, teachers, students and others interested in the humanities and social sciences.

City Centre Campus Library operates in 11 libraries in central Helsinki. Find us - see campus map.

Undergraduate Library has a special role in providing study materials needed in basic and intermediate studies on the City Campus. The other libraries care for materials mainly in their own subject area.

The library at the 4th floor of Main Building is an art history library. Main focus is on Finnish art history. Other priorities include Italian art, art outside of Europe, gender studies from the perspective of art history, urban research and art theory and methodology.

Behavioural Sciences - Minerva

The main fields of collections of the Library are education, speech sciences, psychology, home economics and craft science. The collections also include literature from other fields, mainly those meeting the needs of teacher education.

Classical Philology - Main Building 5th floor

Classical Philology, Antiquitas is focused on classical philology and modern Greek. Collections are divided in four: Antiquitas graeca, latina, graeca et latina and Hellenica.

Finnish Language, Literary and Art Research - Main Building 3rd floor

The library at the 3rd floor of Main Building specializes in language and literature. Collections consist of aesthetics, film and television research, Finnish literature, Finnish language, theatre research and comparative literature materials.

History and Cultural Research - Topelia

Topelia-library concentrates on cultural studies and history. The library hosts a wide collection of Asian, African and Pacific research literature.

Topelia acquires materials from the fields of e.g. archeology, folkloristics, history, ethnology, development studies, Latin American studies, maritime history, gender studies, North American studies, and Russian and East European Studies.

Social Sciences

The Library acquires materials from the research areas of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The disciplines covered are economics, social psychology, sociology, social and cultural anthropology and demography, statistics, communications, social history (political history and economic and social history), society policy (social policy and social work) and the general political science.

The collections of the library are augmented with essential theological literature and source publications, including fields close to theology.
