Introduction
Dynamic Concept Analysis (DCA) is a method of analysing complex phenomena using conceptual models. DCA uses information about concept relations in building both general and individual models to depict a particular phenomenon.
The basic idea behind this approach is to analyse the relationships between concepts involved in a study, and to express these relations in the form of an information matrix. The method allows systematic use of this information in the building of conceptual models.
DCA has been used so far in the fields of education and social sciences. As a general method it might also have applications in other fields when there is a need to analyse how parts make the whole.
The book introduces Dynamic Concept Analysis (DCA).
It includes theoretical discussion on DCA, and seven applications.
The computer program, created by Juha Kontiainen,
is available to those, who are interested in building conceptual models based on the information given in the applications of the book, or to apply DCA in their own studies.
