Cognitive Science Study Program
The study program lists the study modules, the courses (or other type of academic work) needed to complete the study module, as well as set books and credits for all the courses. Courses to be offered in the form of lectures and seminars are selected annually from the study program, subject to demand and teaching resource. This comprises the Curriculum for each academic year. As a rule, the opportunity to take compulsory courses as lecture courses/seminars is available every year, while non-compulsory courses are organized.
Study Opportunities for Exchange Students
Most of the lecture courses aimed at local undergraduates are in Finnish (graduate seminars typically in English). The set books are mainly in English (and most courses can always be taken as set book examinations as laid out in the Study Program).
An Exchange Students curriculum will be prepared for every academic year. This can be used as a basis for planning one's studies.
Foreign students please note: Even if you have come to Helsinki as an exchange student of cognitive science, it is often possible to take part in courses offered by other departments as well.Besides studies provided by the unit, there are courses in English provided by many faculties/departments. Enrolling on courses can usually be flexibly negotiated on individual basis.
