The Finnish Museum of Natural History, founded in 1989 is a separate institute of the Helsinki University. There are five units in the museum: General Division, Radiodating Laboratory, Zoological Museum, Geological Museum and Botanical Museum. The Botanical Museum was founded in 1750. There are three divisions - Cryptogams Division, Phanerogams Division and Mycology Division.
