Institutum Classicum, Universitas Helsingiensis

The Institutum Classicum of the University of Helsinki covers (and, to put it more concretely, houses) the following fields of study: Classical Greek, Latin, Classical archaeology and Modern Greek. Basic and Intermediate studies modules are offered in Classical archaeology and Modern Greek, whereas Classical Greek and Latin can be studied up to the level of Advanced and Postgraduate studies, these eventually leading to a Doctorate of Philosophy in either Greek or Latin.

Studies in Classical Greek, Latin and Classical Archaeology aim to provide a thorough knowledge of various aspects of Classical culture and its heritage.
