Registration for courses takes place using an electronic form. You may also complete the form at the Language Services Office.

Registration is binding. It is recommended that you register for the course at least one week prior to the beginning of the course. In order to ensure your placement on the course, register at the beginning of the registration period.

We do not accept:
1) registrations prior to the registration period (see below)
2) registrations by email, mail or telephone
3) receipts of payment prior to the beginning of the registration period (see below).

NB! If you are a student at the Academy of Fine Arts, Sibelius Academy, Theatre Academy or University of Art and Design OR a member of the staff of the University of Helsinki or Aalto University, please read this.

Please study carefully the range of courses on offer (links on the left). Each course description contains a link to the online registration form and information on the beginning of the registration period:

• Suomi 1 and Suomi 1+2 courses: starting on 4 January at 8.00
• Suomi 2 courses: starting on 5 January at 8.00
• Suomi 3 and Suomi 3+4 courses: starting on 7 January at 8.00
• Suomi 4, Suomi 5 and Puheen harjoitusta/Speech sitations: starting on 11 January at 8.00
• Finnish for False Beginners, Kieliopin kertausta/Grammar revision and Teksti- ja sanastokurssi: starting on 1 February at 8.00.

Please complete the online registration form.

You may attach your receipt for payment of the course fee to the registration form. You may also post, fax or bring the receipt to the Language Services Office once you have registered. Courses will be filled in the order in which the receipts for course fee payments arrive. A confirmation of your course placement will be sent to the email address you indicated on your registration form within a few days after the processing of your receipt for the course fee payment.

• Suomi 1 and Suomi 1+2 courses: starting on 4 January at 10.00
• Suomi 2 courses: starting on 5 January at 10.00
• Suomi 3 and Suomi 3+4 courses: starting on 7 January at 10.00
• Suomi 4, Suomi 5 and Puheen harjoitusta/Speech sitations: starting on 11 January at 10.00
• Finnish for False Beginners, Kieliopin kertausta/Grammar revision and Teksti- ja sanastokurssi: starting on 1 February at 10.00.

Please complete the online registration form at the Office. Your placement in the course will be confirmed upon presentation of your receipt for payment of the course fee. Courses will be filled in the order in which the receipts of course fee payments arrive. You may also have someone else complete the registration on your behalf.

Payment of course fee

Pay the course fee to the university bank account NORDEA 166030-77720. The reference number 9910 8081 must be included on the payment form. Indicate your name and the name of the course in the message section. The course fee must be paid in euros.
Books are not included in the course fee.

Refunds are made only in the following cases:

• The course is full and the student cannot be accommodated.
• The course is cancelled.
• The student has paid too much by mistake.
