Interlibrary Loan - Article copies or loans from other libraries (subject to a fee)
Materials not available in libraries in the Helsinki metropolitan area can be made available as loans or as photocopies through interlibrary loans.
Interlibrary loans are subject to a fee according to the library service price list.
HUPS - Order material from collections of the Helsinki University Library
Helsinki University and HUCH staff can order books and copies of journal articles for free from the Helsinki University Library collections. Literature will be delivered to an internal mail address.

Acquisition Proposal - Propose new material for the Library’s collections
The library acquires information materials (books, journals, and databases) needed in university's research, teaching and study to its collections.
University of Helsinki staff members and students may propose materials to be acquired to the library collections. Subject specialists of the Campus Libraries handle the acquisition proposals and decide on acquisitions based on the collection policy and the available funds.
The Campus Libraries of the University of Helsinki acquire literature in the fields of the faculties of the campuses.
Interlibrary loan for Libraries
The Library delivers loans or copies of the collections to libraries outside Helsinki.
Textbooks are delivered only to the University of Helsinki staff members and students and Students of the Open University.
