Computers

The Learning Centre has about 340 computers for independent study. The 70 computers on Floor 1 are reserved for quick use.

To use the computers in Aleksandria, you need a user account for the University of Helsinki.

Helpdesk

IT support is available via telephone and e-mail at Helpdesk. There's also a chat service on the site.

Copiers and printers

There are multifunction printers on each floor. A smartcard is used to identify oneself on the printers (e.g. HSL travel card, a new type of UH ID card or the newest student cards).

Even though Unigrafia is primarily responsible for the technical maintenance of the machines, it is best to first turn to the helpdesk if the machines do not work.

Storage of research material

There are storage units on wheels for storage of material needed in research or thesis work. The units can be obtained free of charge but you will need a coin to insert in the lock to remove the key. For information on storage unit booking status, ask the library service desk personnel.

Group study rooms

Aleksandria's five group study rooms are located on the 3rd floor. You can book a group study room through the Office365 calendar.

  • Group Study Room 329 & 333, max. 10 people
